LONG HAIR

Long sections of satin ribbon are unravelled and fitted into recessed areas of the casting. The flow and flexibilkity of the hair stands in contrast to the ridgidity of the glass. The cheap material of the ribbon challenges the quality of the glass; does the glass elevate the ribbon or does the ribbon dim the glass? The materials are in conflict but they are also held together, both needing the other to attract attention.
